My Motivation
I have always been a naturally curious person, drawn to understanding people's histories and what motivates them. I find deep satisfaction in asking the right question or offering a response that helps someone feel seen.
At the heart of my practice is the belief that people are capable of meaningful change, and that with time and patience, it is possible to build a life that feels more fulfilling. I have great respect for the resilience people carry, even when it may not always feel that way to them.
It’s a real privilege to be trusted with aspects of someone’s life that may have not been spoken about before. I feel very fortunate to be able to support people in their journeys; holding space for their struggles, celebrating their growth, and caring deeply about the process they move through.
My Experience
I have experience working as a counsellor in a range of mental health settings offering both long and short term therapy. These include addiction services for Nelson Trust, and support for young people at Off The Record. I now run my own private practice, which I have built and developed over several years.
Before retraining as a counsellor in 2015, I was the service manager for Changes Bristol, a local mental health charity. We ran weekly support groups for people struggling with their mental health. I ran these groups, provided training and supervision to volunteers and staff. I also developed bespoke training packages for workplaces.
I have 15+ years experience working in this sector and have developed confidence supporting people with a wide variety of issues.
